Photography

A photo is an image of a moment in time, experienced by a photographer. It shows colors and shapes that render an image in the mind of the beholder. Sometimes a photo will evoke emotions.

A photo does not show reality, it is not objective. Because the photographer chooses the motive, the view, the moment, the technical parameters, etc. a photo can only show the subjective reality of the photographer - or what he declares to be reality. The ubiquitous availability of digital image manipulation has made this self evident.

It is in this sense that my pictures show my subjective reality. I do not take photos, I create images.
